To be more presice, what does a business receptionist who deals with sales, shipping, and receiving do? What does the job consist of? What are requirements that MUST be met?

They answer the phone. Talk to walk-ins, help people in the right direction, make them feel welcome. Good receptionists have the bandwidth to handle additional tasks on the side. You are the face of the company and must present your company to external relations in a positive manner. That means you should radiate positive energy, be professional, courteous, and helpful.

If your doing all this you're not a receptionist, your the office manager. Ask for more money.
