why do people like healthcare jobs in medical field?

Because it's rewarding. Simple as that.
Not just anyone can do healthcare jobs (well, put heart into it). I've worked in healthcare since the age of 19, and although I've handled my share of so-called 'gross' things, I always keep in mind that whoever I am taking care of is someone's mom or dad, or grandma or grandpa and treat them with the same amount of respect that I would give my own. Healthcare isn't always pretty, but at least to those of us that do it (well, majority of us), do it because we care.

Mainly because they like to help people and feel important..Would hate to have a boring desk job(Me). The opportunity to advance into other fields is high. You can always go and get more training to get a new job.... Im going to school to be a nurse or a radiology technician..havent decided but I know for sure in the medical field is where I'll be truely happy..
other reasons job security and good pay...especially for nurses...
