What is a Customer Service Supervisor at Old Navy and what do they do?
Asked by puzzlegut1
I see there's an opening for a Customer Service Supervisor at Old Navy. Is this a fancy name for a manager or is it completely different? Also what are the duties for the position? What kind of pay is it and what benefits are offered?

CSS (customer service supervisor) is just a supervisor, not a manager. CSS's are hourly. Managers are salary. CSS pay range is between $11 and $16 depending on experience, store location, etc. Duties include running the salesfloor at various hours of the day, opening and closing registers (counting money, counting the safe), assisting cashiers with problems at the registers (difficult customers, questions about returns, etc), making the daily floor schedule (1 other manager makes the schedule for the week, but the opening supervisor or manager makes the schedule for the day regarding which employees work in which area, which cashier rings on which register, writing break schedule to make sure all areas are covered). Supervisors carry keys to the store and open and close the store with the presence of other associates. Any full time employees (CSS's and managers) are eligible for health care benefits, paid time off (PTO, accrued)... and of course all employees have the employee discount. Hope that helps! They would be in charge of the area where all the customer issues with Old Navy are handled. For instance returns, poor quality products and any complaints that come up in regards to bills. The pay would depend on your experience and the location of the store. If it is in New York it would pay more then in Arkansas.
