Here is an idea for you! Electric power seems to be the best alternative for our cars so far. Little by little start replacing parking meters with Plug-ins Parking meter combinations. Get a design, get a Patent, produce some prototypes, present it to Cities, Towns and Communities like Airports and Train stations. They should sell themselves! I'll take 2% of the profit. Thank you very much!

A good place to start would be PES Wiki (Pure Energy Systems).
As usual, you'll have to do your own research to weed out the charlatans, but my own has led to a supplementary hydrogen/oxygen power source design that can give fuel savings for the average car - proven to better 100mpg. Nothing new in this - Hoffmann's voltameter was invented over a hundred years ago.
A lot of them claim "free energy" or "over-unity device" which turns people off, since current laws of physics in the macro world does not support such notions. (except quantum mechanics and string theory). However many of them have been found to be highly efficient energy devices, and in commercial use: Hydrogen/Oxygen microwave cracker (developed by Cambridge Univ.), Cavitation liquid heater, solar heating panels, efficient heat-exchangers based on architectural designs which use no machines, air pressure driven cars, nano titanate batteries, and various supplemental power sources for the internal combustion engine based on electrolysis. Every single one of these is available commercially.
I'll get a few links for you when I get home. But in the meantime, you can have fun searching "zero carbon", or "magnetic motor", on youtube or google.

The first step would be to learn about alternative energy, then use it yourself, then next to commercialize it. It will be a great business to get into, even on the small scale, for the foreseeable future. A good place to start might be http://www.monofuel.com This site is legit, but others aren't. Just make sure you don't get involved in any scams life water for your car fuel type stuff, get into real alternatives, like solar, wind, alcohol or bio diesel.
