What's the best way to apply for a part-time job, in an area you have work experience in?
Asked by ManUFanNY
I once applied for an office assistant (part time) position near my home. I think I did a bad job of explaining why I was applying for a part time job and not a full-time one. Honestly, I just want to start applying for part time work because I'm not getting calls for interviews for full-time jobs I'm applying to. I figure I'd rather just take a smaller paycheck for now working part time hours, rather than earning zilch (I don't qualify unfortunately for unemployment insurance). What's the best most convincing way to let an interviewer know why you should be hired for a part-time job?

By your experience, also by showing your very confident in what you can do in the position that your applying for. Also which is most important to let them know, your always on time for work.

You might try a temp agency. I ran into the same problem for the past 6 months. No unemployment either. You can also try with any road company, they always looking for flagmen. While it might not be what you trained for, you get a steady check and enjoy the summer weather.
