You can apply to be a cashier at your local grocery store; you can be a vender in a mall food court; you can baby-sit--there are lots of opportunities. You might even want to check and see if you can be a movie extra down there; it pays really well! Be careful of fradulent claims, though.

I'm 14. I'm going to be a golf caddy this summer. Call your local country clubs and ask if they have a caddy program for teenagers- it's really an awesome program, you come into work whenever you want and you could earn scholarship money. It's physically hard work and you might have to wake up early, but if you get enough experience you can get paid well.
I also applied to the library (shelving books and such) and local grocery stores (some will hire 14 year olds, some won't, you'll have better luck with Mom-n-Pop places).
If all else fails, see if you can get a babysitting gig or mow lawns. Good luck!

I live in Gonzales Texas, ever heard of that place?
I would say the best way to make money is to ask your parents for an allowance or go to houses in your neighborhood and see if they are willing to pay you if you help out.
I'm 14,btw too.
