Novacea, Inc., (NASDAQ: NOVC) located in South San Francisco, California, is a biopharmaceutical company focused on in-licensing, developing and commercializing novel therapies for the treatment of cancer. We currently have two clinical-stage oncology product candidates. Our lead product candidate, Asentar¿ (DN-101), is in a Phase 3 clinical trial for the treatment of androgen-independent prostate cancer, or AIPC, also known as hormone-refractory prostate cancer. Our second product candidate, AQ4N, is being investigated in combination with radiation and chemotherapy in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial of patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme.

Our experienced team uses its expertise in oncology product development to identify, license and develop novel therapeutics with the potential to improve clinical outcomes for cancer patients. We believe that our oncology development expertise enables our team to design efficient clinical development and commercialization programs that could provide cancer patients with improved treatment options over current standards of care.

Novacea provides a comprehensive benefits program promoting the overall well being of regular employees and their eligible dependents (spouse or domestic partner and children). The benefits listed below are for employees who are working 20 hours or more each week.

Medical Insurance
All regular full-time and part-time (working at least 20 hours per week) employees and their families, as well as opposite or same-sex partners, are eligible for coverage. We provide three comprehensive plans to choose from: a Preferred Provider Option and two HMO options.

Dental Insurance
The dental plan offers in-network and out-of-network coverage. The plan covers 100% of diagnostic preventive care.

Vision Benefits
Vision benefits are offered to employees through Vision Service Plan.

Life Insurance and AD&D
Novacea provides group term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance up to two times the employee's annual salary to a maximum of $250,000.

Short-term Disability and Long-term Disability
All regular full-time and part-time (working more than 20 hours per week) employees are covered.

Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts
These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their salary on a pre-tax basis to pay for qualified medical and dependent care expenses.

401K Savings Plan
Employees are eligible to participate after completion of 30 days. Enrollment takes place the first of every Quarter. Employees can contribute up to the IRS maximum on a pre-tax basis. Several investment alternatives are available.

Time-off Benefits
Eligible employees accrue 21 days of paid time off each year, and receive 10 holidays each year.
