The mission of College of DuPage is to be at the forefront of higher education, serving the needs of the community. The college will be the first place residents turn to for the highest quality educational and cultural opportunities. The college will serve as a model of distinction for community college education.
General Information
College of DuPage is the third-largest single-campus community college in the nation and the second-largest institution of higher education in Illinois.
Since opening its doors more than 40 years ago, this fully accredited institution of higher education has increased its credit offerings to provide more than 90 certificate programs, 59 occupational degrees and 45 transfer pre-baccalaureate programs.
In addition, with more than 30,000 students attending per semester, C.O.D. provides an educational experience for nearly 25 percent of all high school graduates in Community College District 502.
In January 2008, the college received a seven-year reaffirmation of accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

College of DuPage offers courses and programs that span a broad range of interests and ages. You can earn a degree or certificate, transfer to a baccalaureate-granting instutition, learn new skills to reenter the workforce or advance your career, take classes for enjoyment or enrichment, improve your business through customized solutions, gain basic skills, study for your GED or enroll your children in youth education classes offered through Continuing Education.
You can also take courses in a variety of formats, from online and independent learning through Program 8 and honors classes. Take advantage of international study opportunities, or receive assistance through the Academic Support Center.
