We transport children / adults with special needs to various schools and day programs.

TRAINING
________
Our employee training program is very extensive.
After an applicant passes:
* Employment Screening Process (H.R.)
* Physical (Medical)
* Drug & Alcohol Screening (Lab)
* C.O.R.I (Criminal History Board)
* 7D license Test (Registry of Motor Vehicles)
They are then ready to begin their training.
Applicants will spend (2) two days in a class room at the YCN Training Center.

* YCN Policy / Procedure
* Sensitivety Training
* Vehicle inspection & maintenance
* Emergency Equipment
* Safety Rules & Regulations
* Wheelchair operations (if applicable)
* Q & A
When an applicant has satisfactorily met all the classroom requirements they will be assigned to a cerified trainer for the next (5) five days.
(hands on training)
The applicant will:
* Drive the vehicle.
* Operate the company two-way radio.
* Interpret daily schedules & routes.
* Perform daily vehicle circle checks.
* Complete logs,time sheets,other required paperwork.
* Read maps and follow written directions.
* Ask questions - get answers
At the end of this (5) five day period,the trainer must document his/her evaluation of the applicant and submit a recommendtion to the management team:
(sign-off procedure)
* More training is required. (incomplete course)
* Assign the employee a schedule. (passed the course)
* Dismiss the applicant. (terminated)
Within the first (2) weeks of an applicant being hired an operational and/or safety manager will follow - up to insure that all YCN standards are understood and are being met.In essence this is another evaluation period.
All new drivers and monitors are on a probationary period.
