Quality control and quality assurance in construction and industry is a major concern to owners and project participants. Systematic testing of construction materials is the best way that the architect and engineer can be assured that materials being used by the contractor are of the quality specified.
Arias provides complete testing and inspection services for all phases and materials of the construction industry. These services may be conducted in the laboratory, in the fabricating plant, or at the construction site. On major projects, Arias teams frequently set-up on site for the duration of construction.
We maintain soils, concrete and aggregate testing equipment to service the testing needs required by the individual project specifications. Our equipment is calibrated and maintained by an independent testing agency. Our San Antonio laboratory has been accredited by the American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and conforms to the requirements set forth by ASTM E329. Further, our laboratory has been inspected by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), a national federal government agency, and continues soils, aggregate and concrete proficiency testing on an ongoing basis with CCRL and the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory. A&A employs a technical staff certified through national agencies such as the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the American Welding Society (AWS).
