Quality Partners of Rhode Island Jobs and Profile

In 1995, Quality Partners was incorporated as a nonprofit organization under the sponsorship of the Rhode Island Medical Society. We are an independent, community-based organization committed to the evaluation and improvement of health care quality. We are governed by a board of directors comprised of representatives from the healthcare provider, managed care, business and consumer communities.

In 1996, we were awarded the federal Medicare contract to oversee the quality of health care for Rhode Island Medicare beneficiaries. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) contracts with Quality Partners and other Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) across the country to implement the national Health Care Quality Improvement Program on a local level.

Today, Quality Partners is working in voluntary partnership with acute care hospitals, managed care organizations (MCOs), physician practices, home health agencies and long-term care facilities on cooperative projects in a variety of clinical areas including heart failure, stroke prevention, pressure ulcers, acute myocardial infarction, pneumonia, atrial fibrillation, and diabetes. Other projects are aimed at increasing use of preventive health services such as influenza and pneumococcal immunizations, mammography, as well as dilated eye exams and other preventive services for people with diabetes.

Quality Partners offers services spanning the entire health care spectrum. Our multidisciplinary staff is comprised of experts in medicine, quality improvement, health information management, statistical analysis, computer operations, marketing and communications, human resources and administrative support. We perform a broad range of specialized services to meet the varying health needs of the different populations and communities we serve including:
