The largest hospital in the system is Buffalo General Hospital,
which was founded in 1855. A 511-bed acute care medical center with a
wide spectrum of clinical inpatient departments and outpatient
services, its specialized programs include cardiac and orthopedic
surgery; urology; psychiatry; dialysis; gastroenterology; cardiac
rehabilitation; rehabilitation medicine; kidney and pancreas
transplantation; neurology and neurosurgery.
