JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Contact delinquent electric and gas customers, residential and commercial
  • Collect overdue payments
  • Negotiate payment with customers to prevent disconnection/termination of service
  • Resolve discrepancies and billing disputes
  • Minimize company losses
  • Recommend accounts for disconnect or placement with third party collection firms after all collection efforts have been exhausted

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prefer candidates with experience in 1st party utilities collection
  • High school graduate and related experience
  • 3-4 years retail collection experience required
  • Skip tracing experience required
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
  • Knowledge of the utility industry and bilingual a plus
