Job Description
Performs a variety of technical duties in support of an Win XP and MAC. Works directly with users, providing service & support, perform software/hardware installation, PC troubleshooting, printers, Black Berry, and equipment and peripherals maintenance. Helps maintain Network user profiles and applications. Also includes acquisition/installation of equipment and supplies. May be required to be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis. Able to act upon analysis and make decisions based on fact and experience. Troubleshoot and repair a variety of office printers both networked and local. Thoroughly track and document all assets used in the repair process. Able to perform incident resolution for offsite clients via remote tools. Configures and ships customer hardware. Conduct on-site hardware set-ups when needed. Assist other Techs/Installations with hardware and network related problems. Able to work across functional IT areas to resolve incidents and perform customer follow-up to close out all incidents.
Required Skills
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required. Must have 1-3 years experience in desktop support. Must be able to communicate with non-technical people about technical issues. Must shows leadership ability. Proficient with Microsoft applications and Windows Operating Systems. Comprehensive knowledge of Windows '98, 2000, XP and MS Office, and/or other operating systems. General understanding of networking principles. Experience with Remedy and Blackberry. Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software. Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision. Must be able to complete and pass a pre employment substance abuse test. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Required Experience
